Mr. Colman Kraff

G. Kraff je predani zagovornik napretka novih tehnologija u području oftalmologije, koji je pomogao u promociji laserske korekcije vida. Član je Međunarodnog medicinskog savjetodavnog odbora Optical Expressa (International Medical Advisory Board (IMAB)) i raznih povezanih tijela i društava kao što su Međunarodno društvo za refrakcijsku kirurgiju (International Society of Refractive Surgery) i Američka akademija oftalmologije (American Academy of Ophthalmology).

G. Kraff je aktivno uključen u istraživačke projekte u vezi s laserskom korekcijom vida. U veljači 1991. godine, kao član tima za klinički pokus koji je američka Uprava za hranu i lijekove (FDA) provodila na pet lokacija, g. Kraff je uspješno izveo prve zahvate ekscimer laserom u području Chicaga pomoću VISX ekscimer lasera. G. Kraff i Kraff Eye Institute posvetili su svoju praksu specijalizaciji u laserskoj korekciji vida te su i dalje vodeća istraživačka lokacija u Sjedinjenim Američkim Državama za sve FDA-ine kliničke pokuse s VISX LASIK zahvatima, izvodeći prve LASIK i Wavefront-guided (vođene valnom frontom) prilagođene korekcije dalekovidnosti.

Aktivan je predavač i podučava liječnike širom svijeta te je jedan od tri glavna instruktora u ekscimer laseru za liječnike u Sjedinjenim Američkim Državama. Drži katedru na Medicinskom fakultetu Sveučilišta Northwestern (Northwestern University Medical School) i član je edukacijskog liječničkog osoblja bolnice Northwestern Memorial. Autor je brojnih akademskih radova i publikacija te je vrlo tražen kao stručni i znanstveni predavač širom svijeta.

Njegova posvećenost struci i pacijentima vidljiva je iz njegovog ogromnog kliničkog iskustva i sudjelovanja na seminarima i konferencijama u svojstvu predavača i delegata.
